Too often, we take the phrase “I love you” for granted. We may say it flippantly as we leave a friend, spouse, or family member and rush off to our next activity. We may use it to fulfill our own agenda. We may even say it without realizing the importance of those three words. I am beginning to realize something that I consider very important about this phrase: I love you. (more…)

This past Tuesday, Prop. 8 banning same-sex marriage was passed in California 52% to 48%. Prior to and after people voted, I heard comments from people about treating people how we would like to be treated, which is in the Bible. I also am now hearing how Christians and non-Christians against the ban are now upset with their state for allowing equal and civil rights to be violated. The problem that lies in equating both of those statements with gay marriage is huge. Gay marriage is not the same as inter-racial marriage, as the opponents to the ban would like you to believe. Race is something you are born with. Homosexuality is a behavior. (more…)

In California, a controversial proposition is on the ballot to be voted on in less than 2 weeks. This proposition is said to be discriminatory by some and a protection of marriage by others. Can one proposition be two differing things at the same time? Let’s look at the issue and find out.
